The story and preview images for Episode 6 of the TV anime Chainsmoker Cat (JP: ヤニねこ, Yanineko) have been revealed. This episode will air on Friday, August 7 at 12:30 AM (JST), and will later be available on various international streaming platforms.
Episode 6 Story
With her lighter running out of fluid, Yani Neko frantically chain-smokes, transferring the dying flame from one cigarette to the next. Meanwhile, Aru Neko vanishes during a drinking party and is mysteriously found stranded in Enoshima. Man, that is far. Today is just another business-as-usual day for Yani Neko and the crew.
However, trouble seems to be brewing once again at the Beastmen Apartment (please, no more…). Right before a deadline, three assistants sent by a beastman dispatch agency arrive at Ochinpo Tatsuro’s room. Soon, a rain of tears falls upon Tatsuro’s workplace.

In a world where humans and beastfolk coexist, lives Yanineko (Chainsmoker Cat)—a beastfolk cat who spends her days smoking and lazing around.
No money! No survival skills! A total good-for-nothing! She has thrown away her manners and morals right along with her cigarette butts. She is reeking of smoke, dirty, lazy, and a complete piece of trash. Inhaling, exhaling, gossiping, and burning out—and yet, she manages to live a reasonably fulfilling life in her own way. It gets pretty gross, but somehow, it leaves you feeling just a tiny bit encouraged!
