It looks like Shuhei Yoshida, the former president of Sony Interactive Entertainment, shares the same wish as many Bloodborne fans: to see the 2015 action RPG game become available on PS5 and other platforms.
As Shuhei Yoshida, the former president of Sony Interactive Entertainment, shared his thoughts in his keynote address for the Computer Entertainment Developers Conference (CEDC) 2026. Yoshida said, “This game (Bloodborne) has a lot of fans all over the world, and it still doesn’t have a PS5 version. PlayStation’s first-party team is releasing a ton of remasters, so why don’t they release this one? There’s no PC release.”
Speaking about a possible Bloodborne release on PS5 or other platforms, Yoshida said he is often asked why the game has not received a new version. He described the situation as a “complete mystery” and added, “Maybe they’ll come out in the future. Maybe they won’t,” while hoping that “it will come out.”
For those unaware, Bloodborne is a 2015 PS4-exclusive action RPG game where players take on the role of a Hunter exploring the mysterious city of Yharnam, battling creatures, uncovering dark secrets, and facing challenging enemies, and more.
Meanwhile, PC players can now experienceBloodborne through the ShadPS4 emulator, which has made the game playable on PC, although the emulator is still in its early development stage. Additionally, a modder called Christina has released a series of patches that improve performance for PS4 games, allowing Bloodborne to run at 120 FPS on PS5.
