In response to player feedback, we’ve deployed a new update for Halo: Campaign Evolved that features new video settings for Chromatic Aberration and Film Grain, refined combat against Jackals, improved keyboard control binding, and many more quality-of-life fixes!
Updates and Improvements
Today’s comprehensive update includes commonly requested video settings, a fix for custom keyboard configurations, updated ally and enemy behavior, and more.
Here are just a few of the more obvious enhancements you should notice after updating:
- New togglable video setting: Chromatic Aberration
- New togglable video setting: Film Grain
- Mouse and keyboard control bindings will now save without reverting.
- Players using Active Camo will remain cloaked more consistently.
- Jackal hit registration has been improved. Firing through the weapon port of Jackal Shields now consistently causes enemies to stagger.
- Mouse and keyboard control performance has been refined on consoles. Firing performance should feel more responsive.
- Fixed an issue where UNSC Marines and Flood-infested Marines could not fire Assault Rifles with the Magnified Skull enabled.
- Implemented fixes to Sgt. Johnson’s behavior in “Boarding Action” (Mission 1 of Operation: METEORITE) that could prevent mission progression.
- Additional stability and performance improvements.
