The controversy between Asim Riaz and his former girlfriend Himanshi Khuranahas once again grabbed headlines. Amid their ongoing public exchange, Roadies fame Bhavya Singh made fresh claims about the former couple. She claimed that Himanshi has CCTV footage from a hotel, alleging that the footage shows Asim getting physical with Himanshi.
Asim Riaz sends notice to Bhavya Singh
Bhavya, while speaking about the matter during a podcast with Telly Chakkar, said, “It’s CCTV footage of a hotel where he is pulling and pushing her in the lift and slapping her.”
Bhavya’s latest claims have added to the ongoing dispute between Himanshi and Asim. However, the alleged CCTV footage has not been released, nor have Bhavya’s claims about the footage been independently verified.
After Bhavya’s comments, Asim Riaz has now issued a formal cease-and-desist legal notice to her, according to a report by News18. Asim has also sent a notice to the concerned media outlets through his lawyer, Adv Suhail Shariff. According to the notice, Asim called the statements made by Bhavya about him false and unverified. He also said that the comments have harmed his reputation, public image and professional standing.
The notice urged Bhavya to stop making or reiterating any defamatory or legally actionable statements about Asim. The model and Bigg Boss 13 runner-up has also asked concerned media outlets to remove the podcast and related content.
Adv. Suhail Shariff reportedly said, “Our client will not permit any defamatory or legally actionable statements against him. A formal cease-and-desist notice has been issued, and appropriate legal action shall follow in case of non-compliance.”
The recipients have allegedly been given 72 hours to comply with the notice. On failing to do so, Asim’s legal team has warned that legal proceedings would be initiated before the competent courts and authorities. Meanwhile, Asim has also reserved all rights, claims and legal remedies available to him under the law.
Asim Riaz and Himanshi Khurana feud
The recent controversy started after Himanshi appeared on Paras Chhabra’s podcast and opened up about her relationship with Asim and their breakup. She stated the religious differencesbetween them led to their split, adding that she faced violence during the relationship.
Asim publicly denied Himanshi’s allegations. He also rejected her claim of asking her to change her religion while questioning the claims made against him.
Notably, Himanshi had earlier said on social media that she had evidence to support the allegations made by her about her relationship with Asim. She alleged that she had CCTV footage and recordings and was ready to share the facts.
