Actor Hina Khan praises Army-run schools in Kashmir

Days after former actor Zaira Wasim questioned the role of J&K Waqf board in organising a dance show of school girls on the Independence day, and kicked off a major controversy, another Kashmir-born and popular TV actor Hina Khan visited the Army school and praised the students enrolled there.
Giving a glimpse of the changing Kashmir, Hina Khan, a household name for playing Akshara, a quintessential Marwari Bahu in serial Yeh rishta Kya Kehlata haion Star TV, visited the Army Goodwill School in Boniyar, Uri and another Army school in Baramulla.
Khan interacted closely with the students, appreciating the quality of education being provided and the range of opportunities available to them to learn, compete, and showcase their talent — from academics to sports and cultural activities.
She spoke highly of the quality of education in the Army Goodwill school and the confidence of the students:

The actress, who has often spoken fondly of her Kashmiri roots, engaged with students and teachers, taking in the vibrant atmosphere of the school. Her visit brought considerable excitement among the children, many of whom were eager to meet her and share their own experiences and aspirations.
Army Goodwill Schools have played a significant role in providing quality education across Jammu and Kashmir for over two decades, now serving thousands of students in the Union Territory.

Khan’s visit adds to a growing list of public engagements highlighting the resilience and talent of Kashmir’s youth.
It may be recalled Hina Khan is a cancer survivour.
She was aklso seen attending the local social functions wherein she played Tumbakhnari(the drum instrument) and posted her video on social media.
Soaking herself in the Valley’s environs, Hina Khan visited houseboats in the Dal Lake and spoke about their beauty.
