The love for arcade gaming will never lose its spark, no matter how many decades pass by. The nostalgic element of playing your favorite titles from yesteryear brings back old memories, and the tactile controls to take hold of your favorite game character still remain the best way to enjoy gaming.

We’ve seen quite a lot of retro arcade machine revivals, as well as those hardcore machines simulating the golden era of flipping on the way to glory in Pinball frenzy. None, however, comes closer to Xgaming’s Arcade2TV-XR MAX gamer’s deck. The two-player arcade plus Pinball control system built for PC, Mac, consoles, Steam Deck, and even current-gen VR headsets like Meta Quest 3 is an arcade gaming controller cabinet that’ll never leave you bored for years to come.

This 3-in-1 arcade machine is the real deal for retro gaming fans, and it improves on the earlier Arcade2TV-XR. There are 3 flipper buttons on each side compared to the one on the predecessor; the Nudge accelerometer, front-mounted spinners, and the Pinball plunger now come built-in compared to the add-on kit on the XR. For power users, the new version brings a physical rear panel to make mode switching seamless, and the three–way– Bluetooth, wireless, and wired options make things a lot sweeter.

Beyond the new-age features lies the endless treasure of enjoying games the way you want. The machine turns into an arcade cabinet, ergonomically set up for the most revered titles all these years, while the setup completely takes an overhaul if you are in the mood for some pinball action. The auto-driven SSF haptic shakers bring every in-game action to life, whether you’re punching the guts away in a Street Fighter boss level or flipping the controls frantically to keep the fast-paced action alive. Beyond these two modes lies the real treasure chest of playing games in VR using your preferred headset. With the push of a button, the setup toggles between the familiar arcade setup from the 90s or the retro feel of enjoying Pinball back when gaming meant the world.

The MAX’s redesigned flipper-button solenoid brings every Pinball session to life, with the mechanical kick of a real table. One can choose to go wired, connecting to the gaming rig for long hours of gaming, or go wireless for shorter sessions. Web-based key remapping allows players to set up the machine to their preferred settings. Of course, a gaming machine needs to look as good as it feels to play. XGaming had this while designing the rig; therefore, the blacked-out pattern, contrasting white inserts, and the chrome finish for the button rings and the joystick make complete sense.

Arcade2TV-XR MAX comes with two pre-loaded games – Arcade Ranger and Pinball FX VR. In VR mode, players can enjoy titles such as Quantaar, Age of Joy, and Arcade Time Capsule. In the arcade mode, the options are quite versatile, with games for PC, Steam Deck, and consoles that are classic arcade stick-based. These can be anything from shooters, spinner classics, fighters, or even modern-day titles built for arcade-style gaming. The versatile gaming machine can be pre-ordered right away for $649, with a controller and pedestal included in the initial deal window.
