The Apple TV streaming service launched a new commercial this week alongside the premiere of Ted Lasso season four. The clever new ‘Welcome Back’ commercial inserts coach Lasso into a bunch of other Apple TV shows, including hits like Severance, Silo, and The Morning Show.

When Ted Lasso was last on in 2023, it was in fact the biggest streaming original in the US of that entire year
And Apple is very much hoping that audiences will return in their droves to check out the new season, also raising awareness for other shows on the platform at the same time.
Season four of Ted Lasso is rolling out weekly with new episodes every Wednesday through October 7. Despite only the premiere being available so far, the show has already rocketed to the #1 spot on the TV app chart worldwide.
We’ll have to wait a few more weeks though to see how that reception translates into viewing figures from the likes of Nielsen and other industry analytics firms.
