Amazon MGM Studios has launched a custom heist mode in Fortnite Creative for How To Rob A Bank, director David Leitch’s upcoming film, ahead of its US theatrical release on November 13th 2026.
According to a release, the mode was built with UGC games and media company Chartis. It is live now. The Fortnite run lasts from October 30th through November 16th, so it overlaps the film’s opening weekend by a few days.
Fortnite Creative is the user-generated side of Fortnite (UGC, or user-generated content). Creators build their own islands; players load them with a code. The main How To Rob A Bank island uses code 2377-4632-6428 and is listed on Fortnite.GG.
It is the latest film promotion to land in Fortnite Creative this month, after tie-ins for Ali G and DC Studios’ Clayface.
Heists, upgrades and two cast members
Players get a random set of heists to complete. They start small, at a quiet rural bank, and work up to large city buildings. Rewards from each job go toward upgrades for the next one.
Two of the film’s actors are in the mode. Nicholas Hoult and Rhenzy Feliz appear as non-playable characters (NPCs) that players can talk to. Hoult also recorded original voiceover for a custom Fortnite trailer.
The campaign reaches other islands too. Two popular Fortnite Creative maps, Criminal Tycoon (1536-9614-0921) and Drive City (6246-3089-1172), get How To Rob A Bank integrations for two weeks each; the release mentions items such as the film’s wolf-clad heist van. Live events are planned as well, though no dates were given.
The link also runs the other way. The film hides a working QR code that takes viewers to the game’s official Fortnite Creative page.
The film and its cast
How To Rob A Bank follows a crew of bank robbers who broadcast their heists on social media. Their viral fame puts them in the sights of a veteran FBI agent and a software engineer. Mark Bianculli wrote the script. The cast includes Nicholas Hoult, Zoë Kravitz, Anna Sawai, Rhenzy Feliz, Christian Slater, Pete Davidson and John C. Reilly. 87 North and Imagine Entertainment produced it for Amazon MGM Studios.
More on the film is on Amazon’s How To Rob A Bank page.
Chartis invests in UGC games and runs a creator network aimed at Gen Z and Gen Alpha players. The company says its games and social pages draw more than 100 billion in-game impressions a month, and that more than 250 creators are in its network.
The following was sent as a press release to Inven Global.
