Alliance: Niti Taylor reveals ex-boyfriend burnt her with cigarette, slapped her

On Alliance, Niti Taylor said an ex-boyfriend burnt her with a cigarette and slapped her. Her account drew focus to surviving abuse and the vulnerability she felt when she was younger

Niti Taylor opened up on surviving an abusive relationship, called her ex psychotic.

Television actor Niti Taylor has opened up about surviving an abusive relationship, revealing that her former boyfriend once burnt her with a cigarette and later slapped her. Speaking on Prime Video’s reality show Alliance, the actor said she decided to end the relationship after the physical abuse escalated

Niti made the revelation during a conversation with Mini Mathur, Ruhee Dosani and Delbar Arya on the show. Reflecting on that phase of her life, she said she was young and vulnerable, which made it difficult for her to recognise the warning signs

Showing the scar on her inner thigh, Niti recalled, “My ex-boyfriend once burnt me with a cigarette. He was violent and psychotic. One night he went mad, it was his birthday. It was bad. Then, he slapped me, and then I just said, ‘Goodbye, see you.’ But anyway, I was just a kid at that time. Because you are vulnerable, you fail to judge people’s character properly. He was psychotic.”

Speaking about her personal life, Niti also addressed speculation surrounding her marriage to Parikshit Bawa. The couple got engaged in August 2019 and married on August 13, 2020. Rumours of their separation surfaced in 2024, but the actor chose not to respond publicly

Explaining her silence, she said, “When you don’t react, that’s the answer. If there’s nothing happening, you are not going to give any justification.”

Niti began her acting career at the age of 15 with Pyaar Ka Bandhan in 2009 before finding fame as Nandini Murthy in Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan. She later appeared in shows including Ghulaam, Ishqbaaaz and Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2, besides participating in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 10
