The United States Bracket begins play at the 2026 Little League Baseball World Series on Wednesday when Phenix City, Alabama, takes on Tacoma, Washington, at Lamade Stadium in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. The Phenix City Youth Baseball Little League emerged from the Southeast Region tournament with Alabama’s first championship since joining the region in 2002. Tacoma’s Soundview Little League became Washington’s sixth straight Northwest Region champion to get to Williamsport. Phenix City makes its second appearance at the LLBWS and its first since a runner-up finish in 1999. Tacoma is a first-time visitor to Williamsport.

Alabama finished 4-0 at the Southeast Region tournament in Warner Robins, Georgia, beating Nolensville, Tennessee, 4-0 in the championship game on Aug. 11 behind a three-hit shutout from Kinley Rasmus, who struck out eight in the victory. Urijah Berklite contributed an RBI single and a steal of home for Alabama.
Washington avenged an earlier loss to Eagle, Idaho, with an 8-5 victory in the Northwest Region championship game on Thursday. Paxton Hansen’s two-run single highlighted a four-run first inning for Washington, which pounded out 13 hits. Rhonan Loomis finished 3-for-3 and Francis McCabe struck out 10 in 4.2 innings, allowing a run on two hits, to get the win.
Wednesday’s winner advances to face Boerne, Texas, on Friday, with the loser taking on the loser of Thursday’s game between Bonita, California, and Davenport, Iowa, on Saturday.
