Comic Con Africa 2026 adds Storm voice Alison Sealy-Smithz actor Richard T. Jones to star-studded lineup
Fans of Marvel, animation and pop culture are in for another major treat at Comic Con Africa 2026, with acclaimed Barbadian-Canadian voice actress Alison Sealy-Smith joining the guest lineup.
Sealy-Smith is best known as the iconic voice of Storm in X-Men: The Animated Series and the recently revived X-Men ’97.
Beyond Storm, Sealy-Smith has voiced Gamora in Silver Surfer and Scarlet in Delilah and Julius. She has also appeared in popular animated series including Spider-Man and Sailor Moon.
During her appearance at Comic Con Africa, fans will have the opportunity to hear Sealy-Smith discuss her career and creative work during panel discussions. She will also be available for photographs and autograph sessions.
Comic Con Africa 2026 takes place from 24 to 27 September at the Johannesburg Expo Centre in Nasrec.
Comic Con Africa has also announced a number of other guests for this year’s event, including Ian Cardoni, the voice of Rick Sanchez in the Adult Swim animated series Rick and Morty.
Cardoni took over the role in season seven and has continued to voice the eccentric scientist in seasons seven and eight, with season nine currently airing.
American actor Richard T. Jones will also appear at the convention from 25 to 27 September. Known for roles in The Rookie, Judging Amy, Narcos, Hawaii Five-0 and Godzilla, Jones will be available for photographs and autographs and will share stories from his career in film and television.
With more celebrity announcements, artist showcases, gaming, anime and cosplay still to come, organisers say the event will bring together fans and communities from across the country’s pop culture scene.
