South Korean dramas continue their undeniable hot streak on Netflix. After an incredibly strong eight weeks on the platform, the breakout K-drama Teach You a Lesson has officially entered Netflix’s most coveted list: the All-Time Most Popular Non-English TV Top 10.
If there was ever any doubt that Netflix’s global audience is hungry for gripping Korean television, you can officially put that to bed. Joining the colossal shadows of the Squid Game trilogy, Money Heist, and Lupin, Teach You a Lesson has officially booted its way into the number ten spot on Netflix’s all-time charts.
This is technically the fifth South Korean drama series to ever appear on Netflix’s all-time lists, following Squid Game, All of Us Are Dead, The Glory, and Extraordinary Attorney Woo, which all appeared in various iterations of the lists over the years, with only Squid Game surviving in recent years.
Let’s dive into the numbers, break down its week-by-week performance, and look at where the series will likely end up once its premiere 91-day window closes.

With this week’s Tuesday data dump, Teach You a Lesson has officially crossed the threshold, pushing the previous #10 title out of the spotlight.

It’s worth noting just how massive the Hours Viewed metric is for this show. Clocking in at a hefty 10 hours and 41 minutes, the K-drama has racked up a staggering 643.3 million hours watched. If this were ranked purely by hours viewed (the old Netflix metric), it would actually be sitting at number five on this list, beating out Lupin: Part 1 and Money Heist: Part 3.

So, how did it get here? As we noted in our preview earlier this year, the hype surrounding the show was palpable, but Friday releases can sometimes have a slower start over their first weekend.
Teach You a Lesson is a textbook example of massive word-of-mouth growth.

That massive +229% jump in Week 2 is exactly what you want to see for a new series. From there, it held the global #1 Non-English spot for an impressive four consecutive weeks.
The 91-Day Trajectory: Where Will It End Up?
As seasoned Netflix data nerds know, Netflix locks in its “All-Time” top 10 lists based on a show’s first 91 days of release. Teach You a Lesson premiered on Friday, June 5th, 2026, which means its 91-day window will officially close on Friday, September 4th, 2026.
Currently, we have 51 days of data (up to July 26), netting 60.1 million views. We have roughly 40 days (or 5 full weeks plus a final 5-day stretch) left in the window.
Our Standard 91-Day Prediction:
Based on its current trajectory, the viewership decay has stabilized at around a 20% to 25% weekly drop. If we forecast this standard drop rate over the remaining 40 days:
- Week 9: ~1.73M – 1.84M views
- Week 10: ~1.29M – 1.47M views
- Week 11: ~0.97M – 1.18M views
- Week 12: ~0.73M – 0.94M views
- Week 13: ~0.55M – 0.75M views

This projects out to an additional 5.5 to 6.6 million views before the window slams shut. Therefore, we predict Teach You a Lesson will end its 91-day run at approximately 65.6 to 66.7 million views, meaning it likely won’t move up in the charts.
While this is a phenomenal result that firmly cements it on the top 10 list, it unfortunately looks like it will just run out of steam before catching Lupin: Part 2 (68.4M) or La Palma (70.3M). It will be comfortably sitting in the #10 spot for the foreseeable future.
The “Bull Case” Prediction:
However, if Teach You a Lesson manages to stabilize and slow its weekly drop to just 10% to 15%—a sticky trajectory we sometimes see with K-dramas driven by dedicated fanbases—the math gets a little more interesting. Under this stronger hold, the series could pull in an additional 7.8 to 9.4 million views in its remaining 40 days.
That would put the final 91-day tally at a massive 67.9 to 69.5 million views. At this level, it would successfully dethrone Lupin: Part 2 (68.4M) for the #9 spot. That said, crunching the exact numbers reveals that overtaking La Palma (70.3M) for #8 is mathematically unlikely, requiring the show to effectively flatline with zero-to-minimal drops for the next month.

With numbers like this, the immediate question is always about a renewal.
