EDMOND, Okla. (KOKH) —The Edmond Police Department (EPD) arrested a man in connection with the theft of more than $300,000 of Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, sports memorabilia, and other collectible items.
EPD arrested Chad Vincent Chadwell on charges of Possession of Stolen Property after he broke into a storage unit, stealing more than $300,000 of trading cards and collectibles.
Police said Chadwell, who also goes by the name “Vincent Estrada,” was selling the stolen collectibles before his arrest.
Authorities are asking anyone who purchased trading cards or other collectibles in the last 30 days to contact Detective London at 405-359-4443.
Pack Smashers Cards & Collectibles, a local hobby shop in Edmond, worked with the Edmond Police Department and members of the hobby community to help with the investigation. Pack Smashers is asking anyone with information to contact investigators or the store.
“Any information you can provide, whether it’s a purchase, a conversation, a meeting, or anything else you may remember, could be critical to the ongoing investigation,” Pack Smashers Cards & Collectibles said. “Your cooperation may provide law enforcement with additional evidence and help ensure the individual responsible is held fully accountable for their actions.”
