South Korean dramas continue their undeniable hot streak on Netflix. After an incredibly strong eight weeks on the platform, the breakout K-drama Teach You a Lesson has officially entered Netflix’s most coveted list: the All-Time Most Popular Non-English TV Top 10.

The action-packed school drama “Teach You a Lesson” has become the second Korean series to break into Netflix’s all-time top 10 chart for the most-viewed non-English TV series, joining the “Squid Game” (2021-25) franchise, the streaming service said Wednesday.

The world’s biggest pop-culture event began with fans in a hotel basement and a question most companies still get wrong.

Korean content accounted for the largest share of non-English programming watched by Netflix subscribers worldwide in the first half of the year, driven by the strong performance of both Netflix original series and licensed titles from domestic broadcasters.

The action-packed drama series Teach You A Lesson has amassed 54.9M global views in the six weeks since its release, putting it on track to become the streamer’s second most-watched Korean show ever (behind only Squid Game).

“Teach You a Lesson” has become Netflix’s fifth most-watched Korean series of all time, overtaking the 2022 hit revenge drama “The Glory.”
