The PlayStation Network services are facing intermittent issues as we speak, and the problem isn’t limited to a specific region. Sony‘s servers seem to have hard-crashed about an hour ago, and while some services seem to be partially restored, players are still facing a plethora of issues.

PlayStation services went down on the morning of July 24, 2026, but Sony has yet to acknowledge the issue

According to the official PlayStation Service Status page, everything’s fine and dandy, but we can confirm that’s not the case. The PS App as well as console services were down, and while some — like the PS Store and trophies — have returned, digital games are unplayable for many.

Digital games that require license validation can’t be played as players are unable to connect to Sony’s servers.

This isn’t a great time for PlayStation to experience network issues. Sony’s next big game, Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, is scheduled for a free open beta today. Understandably, millions of players are expected to be partaking in the free play weekend ahead of the game’s August launch.

We can’t say how long it’ll take for services to be fully restored, and it remains to be seen if Sony will extend the Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls beta period.

We’ll continue to update this article as and when we have more information.
