Archie Comics have agreed with macrocosm Recreating some comics from their golden age. Released as part of an authentic reproduction, the reproduction replicates the paper and printing details of the original, a process that will use similar period-correct techniques to reproduce the comic as if it were fresh on the newsstand.
The joint venture will reprint the top ten key points Archie Title (first occurrence of ArchieBetty, Veronica, Sabrina, etc.) and will be available on Kickstarter starting December 17th. This will be part of the sequel to Macroverse Advanced Reproductions of key titles from authentic editions program, has recreated some of EC’s classic comics using the same method.

Archie is the oldest independent publisher in comics. Launched in 1939, the series launched a line of action and superhero comics that would later branch out into other genres, with the series most notably associated with Archie Andrews’ teen humor as featured in PEP COMICS #22 backup function. That debut, by Vick Bloom and Bob Montanaan instant success that spurred the creation of dozens of iconic characters in the small town of Riverdale, including Veronica Lodge in PEP #26, and introduced Archie himself via ARCHIE COMICS #1 series.
These new authentic releases are more than just faithful page-by-page reprints; they are produced using the same materials and techniques as when they were first published, giving collectors a way to own important comic book milestones that are as close to the originals as they are.
The crowdfunding campaign offers backers multiple rewards, including a core collection of Archie Comics Tip-Top 10 titles, special variants with cover effects, additional titles to be announced as stretch goals when the campaign reaches certain benchmarks, and Collectible storage box with “Team Betty” or “Team Veronica” artwork options (referring to the long-running rivalry between the two characters for Archie’s affections).
The remaining “Tip Top 10” titles are known for their iconic covers and character introductions: PEP COMICS #36; Archie Comics #2, #7 and #13; Betty and Veronica #1 and #3; Archie Comics #1 and #3; Strange Madhouse #22 features the debut of Sabrina the Teenage Witch.
