Education and <a href="https://comicvibe.com/oglebay-park-food-truck-festival-draws-vendors-activities-and-entertainment-for-families/” title=”Oglebay Park food truck festival draws vendors, activities and entertainment for families”>entertainment collide at the 3rd Annual Shuswap Family Expo.
Held in Salmon Arm’s Blackburn Park Saturday, Sept. 19 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the Expo, founded by Dr. Taylor Bean and Missy Morrison Charko, is designed to engage families with a focus on baby, child and teen and parent education and wellness.
To accomplish that, the event featured a variety of informative booths and vendors, including on everything from literacy to physical education to fire safety.
A lineup of educational guest speakers provided valuable information for parents, interspersed with entertainment, including live music by Megan Abel with a sneak peak at her new album, Evan the Juggler and a demonstration by Kees Tae Kwon Do.
The event ended with raffle draws and closing remarks, leaving families looking forward to next year.
