What to know about the Alameda Point Antiques Faire

If you enjoy vintage shopping, rare collectibles, and the thrill of discovering one-of-a-kind finds, the Alameda Point Antiques Faire deserves a spot on your weekend calendar.

Held on the first Sunday of every month, the event is Northern California’s largest antiques show, featuring more than 800 dealer booths stocked with vintage and antique goods at least 20 years old. Housed in the former Alameda Naval Air Station (3900 Main St., Alameda), the waterfront venue offers sweeping views of the San Francisco skyline and the Bay Bridge, adding a scenic backdrop to the treasure hunt.

I visited this month’s fair to see what all the buzz was about. The gates open at 6 a.m., with admission starting at $20 and dropping each hour throughout the morning. By the time I arrived around 8 a.m., the fair was already buzzing with shoppers browsing an eclectic mix of furniture, clothing, home décor, jewelry, artwork, books and collectibles.

Some of my favorite finds included a miniature furniture set, a lady’s head inside a crystal ball, the iconic leg lamp from “A Christmas Story” and tall Minions sculptures. With hundreds of vendors and plenty of unique treasures to discover, it is easy to see why the monthly event has become a Bay Area favorite. I will definitely be back next month.

With free parking, food trucks and hundreds of booths to explore, it’s easy to lose yourself for hours searching for that perfect vintage find.
