Just four races remain before The Chase, in which the top 10 drivers in the standings advance to a seven-race run for the series championship. Riggs ran a 121.608 mph lap in qualifying on Friday to clip Carson Hocevar and earn his sixth career pole.

The truck series returned to North Wilkesboro in 2023, with the race moving from May to July this year on the 0.625-mile asphalt oval. The race covers 250 laps and 156.25 miles, with each of the first two stages of the race set for 70 laps before a final stage of 110 turns around the circuit. Chandler Smith earned a controversial overtime win last year, edging Riggs after taking the lead on the final lap after Riggs and Corey Heim made contact in Turn 2, sending Heim into a spin.
With Riggs and Hocevar on the front row Saturday, Christopher Bell and Heim start on Row 2. Giovanni Ruggiero and Chase Elliott start on the third row while Kaden Honeycutt and Grant Enfinger, who won last weekend at Lime Rock Park, make up Row 4. Smith and Stewart Friesen round out the top 10 off the start line.
Riggs leads Honeycutt at the top of the standings, followed by Smith, Christian Eckes, Ruggiero, Ty Majeski, Ben Rhodes and Daniel Hemric in the top eight spots. Enfinger jumped from 11th to ninth with his win last week with Tyler Ankrum sliding down to the 10th spot, 17 points ahead of both Friesen and Jake Garcia and 21 points clear of Brenden Queen for the last spot for The Chase.
