SCHENECTADY, NY (WRGB)- Electric City Comic Con is returning to the Hon. Karen B. Johnson Main Library in Schenectady, bringing a full day of comics, cosplay and pop culture programming with free admission and parking.

The Schenectady County Public Library’s family-friendly convention will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Organizers say the event will include regional artists and writers, interactive programs, a life-size action figure box photo booth, food trucks, the popular Cosplay Costume Contest, and a Marketplace with numerous vendors, including dealers offering back-issue comic books.

Featured guests Doug Arthur, Sean Kelley, Myron Lauzon, Shane Moore and Mike Spring are set to present The Bridge That Eats Trucks, a comic anthology inspired by Glenville’s low-clearance railroad bridge.

The artists and writers involved in the comic book will be at the convention all day, with a panel discussion scheduled from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the McChesney Room inside the main library.

The Cosplay Costume Contest is scheduled for 3 p.m.
