Yes, Lake Bell and Rashid Johnson are together, and it’s official now. The Chair Company star, 47, and the acclaimed multimedia artist, 48, went Instagram official with a collaborative post on Saturday, Oct. 31, celebrating Halloween with a relationship “hard launch.” We don’t know how long they’ve been dating. It is not known how long the couple have been together, and the romance has been described as a whirlwind one. Their first public outing together came in September 2026, so they’ve been a visible couple for about two months. Both of them have come out of long marriages, which makes this a real fresh start.

Bell’s first big public romance after the divorce was with a comedian. Chris Rock began dating actress Lake Bell in the summer of 2022. Chris and Lake were spotted together again, this time on a yacht in Korcula, Croatia.

She described their bond as “sort of like army buddies.” On when to introduce new partners to the kids, she said she and Scott had parameters around it, and now trust each other to decide when the time is right, adding “I generally don’t rush into it.”
April 2025: Johnson Takes Over the Guggenheim
Johnson’s career hit a peak around this time. Guggenheim New York presented a major solo exhibition of work by Rashid Johnson, opening April 18, 2025, and remaining on view through January 18, 2026. With more than 90 artworks, including sculptures, photography, video, and experimental installations, “A Poem for Deep Thinkers” is the largest showing of Johnson’s work yet.

Page Six broke the news that art-world power couple Rashid Johnson and Sheree Hovsepian have split after 15 years of marriage. In their joint statement, they called it “the difficult decision to separate”.
They said they intended to remain friends and continue coparenting their son. The report said they had not filed for divorce at that point. They share 14-year-old son Julius.
July 2026: Exes Turned Collaborators
The split didn’t end their creative partnership. They co-curated Rashid, Sheree and Friends at Château La Coste in Provence. The group exhibition ran from July 5 through September 6.
Johnson talked openly to Art Basel about the change. “We’re going through a transition in our relationship, and our relationship is evolving,” he said.
September 17, 2026: Their First Public Outing
This is the first time we’ve seen them together. Lake Bell and Rashid Johnson attended as The New York Times celebrated 175 Years of Independent Reporting at Spring Studio on September 17, 2026.

Then came the post. The actress, 47, posted the picture on Saturday 31 October with the caption “Happy Hallow-hard launch.” Bell wore a black stole with a matching beret, while Johnson, 48, was in a classic charcoal-coloured tuxedo. They looked very couple-y, with Rashid grabbing her waist.
One small mismatch: Just Jared gave Johnson’s age as 49 and described a navy velvet tuxedo jacket, while Us Weekly said 48 and a charcoal tux.
November 2026: Friends Cheer Them On
Their famous friends loved it. Erinn Hayes said they were “lookin fiiiiiiiine on the take off.” Designer Gabriela Hearst added, “🔥HOT,” “COUPLE” and “ALIVE” in two separate replies to seemingly call Bell and Johnson one of the hottest couples alive. Reed Moreno shared a trio of heart-eye emojis.
Where They Stand Now
As of early November 2026, Bell and Johnson are a confirmed couple, but they’re keeping things low-key.
