November 13-15, 2026 – The rainy heart of the Olympic Peninsula is set to host its annual dedicated comic convention, Raincon 2026, starting Friday, November 13th at 4PM at the Rainforest Arts Center. This small, intimate, three-day event is dedicated to celebrating independent artists, regional creators, and the vibrant fandoms of the Pacific Northwest
Raincon 2026 is designed to be a local hub for pop culture enthusiasts, moving away from the overwhelming size of major conventions and focusing instead on genuine connection between fans and creators.
Attendees can look forward to:
• Artist Alley: A curated selection of local and regional comic artists, illustrators, and crafters selling original prints, books, and merchandise.
• Cosplay Contest: A friendly, inclusive competition celebrating fan creativity, with categories for handmade costumes and beginner entries.
• Community Panels: Discussions and workshops focusing on PNW folklore in fiction, the craft of comic book writing, and local creative industries.
“We wanted to create an event that honors that local spirit while giving talented regional artists a platform. Raincon is about community, creativity, and embracing the cozy, rainy aesthetic that makes the Olympic Peninsula special.”
Raincon 2026 is free to the public. This event is expected to draw fans from across Western Washington, providing a significant boost to local businesses during the typically quieter fall season.
• When: Friday, November 13th through Sunday, November 15th
• Where: Rainforest Arts Center, Forks, WA
• Additional Information: The event is free to the public.
