American Idol alum Bo Bice, who came in second to Carrie Underwood in 2005, has made some changes.
The 51-year-old singer revealed the biggest shocker to fans on Instagram — he cut off his signature long hair best remembered from his season 4 run on the reality competition.
“Well, well, Tinkerbell… Who’s THAT guy?!” Bice captioned a before-and-after comparison. “Ain’t it funny what 2 years’ll do in your life. I haven’t released new music since Born of Heroes Blood – Hollywood Independent Music Awards for Most Impactful Song of the Year – Vocalist- Bo Bice. Written by Jeff Silbar and Devin Powers. Here’s a blast from my past and a glimpse into my future with a new life, new style, but the same southern soul.”

“I thought this was Kevin Bacon!” exclaimed a follower. “Any way you cut it, we love ya Bo!” wrote another.
Still another mused, “What? He really looks different!”
Bice hinted at his other changes back in April, when he discussed the beginnings of his transformation.
“I’ve been off the grid for way too long now,” he shared on Instagram. “Nothing much I wanted, cared, or was motivated to share for a good bit as I was shaping up my body, mind & spirt.”
Bice noted that he had made some major lifestyle change, including quitting caffeine and stopping most of his medications.
He also dropped a considerable amount of weight.
“Lost 89lbs, so I can move around like I use to on stage and feel better, sharper, and stronger from the lighter weight,” said Bice.

The rocker explained he had cut his hair “from tail length to the short haired country boy look again.” Even better, he added, “I’m saving on shampoo & conditioner.”
In June, Bice announced that he and his wife, Caroline, with whom he shares four children, were “amicably” divorcing after 20 years of marriage.
