The Gosselin family, who came to fame on the TLC seriesJon & Kate Plus 8, is experiencing more drama.
Following the release of sextuplet Collin Gosselin’s new book, In the Shadow of Eight: Surviving the Reality of My Childhood, on Oct. 13, his sister Hannah said the two haven’t been in contact for a while.
“I’ve decided to take a step back from the situation going on,” she wrote Wednesday on her TikTok Stories, “considering I haven’t lived with my dad in over a year and haven’t spoken to Collin in close to a year.”

She noted that “I have had a relationship with my mom and other siblings for quite a few years now. And that’s the only thing I’m clearing up. Beyond this, I will not be commenting on Collin’s behavior growing up or my experiences growing up with him.”
Hannah, who’s 22, and her family, including siblings Collin, Aaden, Alexis, Joel, and Leah, along with older twin siblings, Cara and Mady, starred on the reality show between 2007 and 2009, when the titular couple announced their split. The series was renamed Kate Plus 8 and aired new episodes until 2017.
All the children lived with Kate until 2018, when Hannah and Collin moved in with their father.
While promoting his book Thursday on The View, Collin disputed his sister’s words.
“All families are complicated,” Collin said. “I’ve seen Hannah many times in the past year. Me, myself, my father, at our house. I have pictures if you want to see them.”
He continued, “All families are very complicated, and that statement sounded like a lot of the words of my mother, especially the last part. What I do believe has happened is that Hannah’s caught in the middle — and nobody deserves that. I know what it feels like to have to fight to have a relationship with your siblings. I don’t have one with my siblings, and I know how much that hurts. Not only is she caught in the middle, but I do believe my mom is either leveraging finances or Hannah’s relationship with our siblings over Hannah.”

In his book, Collin offers up other stories about his famous family, such as his allegation that the show’s network teamed up with Dr. Phil McGraw to offer Jon and Kate $2 million to stay together and keep the show going.
He also accuses his mother of abuse, which she has denied.
Both Collin and Hannah are set to appear alongside Jon in an upcoming Netflix documentary, the streamer announced Wednesday.
“For nearly a decade, a family’s chaos and love played out on TV as comfort viewing,” the official description of the project reads. “Years later, conflicting accounts have emerged from within the family itself — competing memories of the same childhood, the same home, the same spotlight. The new documentary takes a closer look, piecing together the story from every angle: the children who grew up on camera, the adults who built a brand around them, and the audience that couldn’t look away. It’s an intimate look at how real life became a phenomenon the world thought it knew.”
No release date was announced.
