Announced in July and debuting this fall, DC Comics’ new Absolute Universe comic book will hit local comic book shelves in October, November and beyond. Today, DC unveiled a new variant cover and logo for the first game in the DC Absolute Universe series.
Absolute Batman
Scott Snyder and Nick Dragota As The Batman hits theaters, fans are introduced to a new Batman Absolute Batman #1. In this iteration, fans will see a version of the Dark Knight without the money, mansion, or butler of the core series counterpart. Readers will quickly discover what made this “Batman” an “Absolute” edition when it first appeared, with colors by frank martin and letters Clayton Cowleswill arrive at participating comic book stores and digital retailers on Wednesday, October 9th. Absolute Batman #1 will feature main covers by Nick Dragotta and Frank Martin, as well as Wes Craig and Mike Spicer, Jim Lee, Scott Williams and Alex Sinclair, Mickey Gerardsand Ian Bertram (1:25).

Absolutely superman
writer Jason Aaron and artist Rafael Sandoval Join forces to launch the new “Man of Steel” Absolutely superman #1. This Superman has no family, no Fortress of Solitude, and no home. In this new universe, will he still stand for truth and justice? Readers can learn when Absolutely superman #1, color by Ulysses Areola and Becca Carey’s Letters will be available at participating comic book stores on Wednesday, November 6th. Absolutely superman #1 will publish the main cover by Rafa Sandoval Ulysses Areolaas well as variant covers by Wes Craig and Mike Spicer, Jim Lee, Scott Williams and Alex Sinclair, Clayton Craneand Matteo Scalera (1:25).
All three issues of the DC Absolute Universe will also have a “foil design variant,” which features a new emblem for each of DC’s new Absolute Trinity.
