Universal Orlando Resort has shared more information about Universal’s Helios, a 500-room resort that will be located at Universal’s upcoming Epic Universe theme park in 2025. Named after the sun god.
One of the great things about staying at Helios is that it’s essentially located within the park and has its own dedicated entrance to Epic Universe. In addition, guests at Helios (and other Universal Studios hotels) can enter the park early and take a free shuttle.
Universal Studios partnered with Loews Hotels to create the Helios Grand Hotel, which has a Mediterranean-style exterior surrounded by gardens and water features. Universal describes the new resort as “spectacular” and aims to blend “immersion and relaxation.”
The Helios lobby features floor-to-ceiling windows, allowing guests to enjoy views of Epic Universe’s new naturist park. As for the rooms themselves, Universal Studios says they’re designed to evoke “the serenity of a blissful garden.” There are also dragon-themed suites specially designed for children.
The hotel also features a gym, game room and shop, as well as Flora Taverna, a full-service restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is also a coffee shop called Aurora Market.
There is also a rooftop lounge called Bar Helios, which offers drinks, food and 360-degree views of the Epic Universe. Of course, there’s a swimming pool complete with underwater speakers, cabanas, hot tub, and poolside movies. The pool has its own bar and grill, Lotus Lagoon.
Pricing for the Helios Hotel rooms and suites has not been revealed, but it’s safe to assume it won’t be cheap. Universal Helios is another addition to Universal’s existing 10 hotels and brings the total number of rooms across all hotels to 11,000.

As part of this announcement, Universal is also making brand changes to its hotel offerings. Iconic collections include Helios, Portofino Bay, Hard Rock, Loews Royal Pacific and Lowes Sapphire Falls; Prime Value collections include Aventura, Stella Nova (launching January 2025) and Terra Luna (launching February 2025); Value Inns and Suits, meanwhile, also includes the Cabana Bay Beach and Endless Summer hotels.
Universal Studios is launching Helios and Epic Universe, while nearby rival Disney World is planning its own major updates and changes, including an overhaul of the Magic Kingdom.
