PS Plus November update is bad news for RPG fans as major games face removal

PlayStation Plus looks set to drop some major free games in November 2026, including two massive Rockstar Games releases, so it may be time to say goodbye to these PS Plus freebies on PS5 before it’s too late.

It’s nearly time for the next batch of games to leave PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium, so if any are still sitting in your pile of shame, now might be a good time to finish them before November comes.

There are potentially seven games leaving PS Plus in November 2026, including Rockstar’s GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2. Thankfully, Rockstar’s games have a habit of coming and going on subscription services, so missing out this time might not be the end of the world.

All seven games potentially leaving PS Plus in November 2026

Along with GTA Vand Red Dead Redemption 2, which could leave PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium next month, are Football Manager 2026, Thank Goodness You’re Here!, The Talos Principle 2, Cricket 24 and Rock of Ages 3: Make & Break.

To cushion the blow of GTA V’s exile, at least, is that Rockstar Games’ highly anticipated GTA VI arrives next month on 19 November, 2026.

The update was brought to our attention by a Reddit user,sole-itm, but it’s worth keeping in mind that the image shared showing the ‘Last Chance to Play’ games is from the Japanese PlayStation Store and may not be a complete representation of what’s leaving in the US and UK. That being said, there are often similar changes across most regional PlayStation Stores.

Reddit user sole-itm also mentions that, at least in the US, only Football Manager 2026, Thank Goodness You’re Here! and The Talos Principle 2 are listed as leaving in November 2026, at the time of writing. However, more titles could be added in the coming days.

Which games are leaving PS Plus Extra and Premium in October 2026?

As of today, Tuesday, 20 October 2026, the following titles are leaving PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium:

    • Silent Hill 2 – The acclaimed 2024 horror remake.
    • Yakuza: Like a Dragon – The popular crime RPG set in the Yakuza universe.
    • Jurassic World Evolution 2 – Build and manage your own dinosaur park.
    • Harvest Moon: Light of Hope Special Edition – A cosy farming simulator.
    • Lake – A relaxing, story-driven adventure.
    • Gloomhaven – A challenging tactical RPG based on the board game.
    • Rogue Lords – A dark fantasy roguelike.
    • Death Squared – A co-op puzzle game built around teamwork.

When are the next PS Plus Essential, Extra and Premium games announced?

Judging by Sony’s previous announcement schedule on social media, the PS Plus Essential games are expected to be revealed on Wednesday, 28 October 2026, with the games likely to become available on Tuesday, 3 November.

As for PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium, the games are expected to be announced on Wednesday, 11 November 2026, and become available from Tuesday, 17 November.

As always, we’ll let you know as soon as Sony announces the next batch of games coming to PlayStation Plus Essential, Extra and Premium.
