JioStar bolsters Entertainment Digital Ad Sales team with three appointments

Sudhir Shukla, Rachit Jain and Junaid Khwaja have joined JioStar’s Entertainment Digital Ad Sales team

• JioStar has appointed three senior executives to its Entertainment Digital Ad Sales team: Sudhir Shukla as EVP, Rachit Jain as SVP, and Junaid Khwaja as SVP.
• Sudhir Shukla brings over 20 years of experience from roles at More Retail, Cars24, Star Sports, and Mondelez; Rachit Jain has over 20 years in digital advertising, previously co-founding Sparkonomy and working at Meta and Google; Junaid Khwaja has 18 years of experience, most recently at Dream11 and Amazon Ads India.
• The appointments are part of a realignment within the digital sales team, with Amrita Choudhary leading CPG under Shukla, while Amandeep Mittal and Aashish Gupta will focus on mid-market business and digital PRS, respectively.
• Shubhra Sethi, Bikash Kundu, and Vivek Modi will continue their roles across the digital and linear entertainment revenue teams.

JioStar has made three senior appointments in its Entertainment Digital Ad Sales team.

Sudhir Shukla has joined as EVP – Entertainment Ad Sales, Digital (LCS Branding), while Rachit Jain has been appointed SVP – Entertainment Ad Sales, Digital (LCS Commerce). Junaid Khwaja joins as SVP – Entertainment Ad Sales, Digital (Content IPs).

Shukla brings over two decades of experience across CPG, retail, online businesses and media. He was most recently COO and P&L Head at More Retail, and has previously worked with Cars24, Star Sports and Mondelez.

Jain comes with more than 20 years of experience across digital advertising, technology and media. He was most recently co-founder of Sparkonomy. Before that, he led Meta India’s Mid-Market and Growth Businesses. He also spent over a decade at Google across India and the US.

Khwaja has over 18 years of experience across media and technology. Before joining JioStar, he was SVP and National Sales Head at Dream11. He previously led Agency Partnerships and Media Sales for Amazon Ads India, and has also worked with Amazon, Twitter, Voot and Radio Mirchi.

The appointments are also accompanied by a realignment of responsibilities within the digital sales team. Amrita Choudhary will report to Shukla and lead CPG. Amandeep Mittal will continue to report to Bhaskar Ramesh, Head – Entertainment Sales, Digital, and will focus on the mid-market business. Aashish Gupta will also report to Ramesh and lead digital PRS. Shubhra Sethi, Bikash Kundu and Vivek Modi will continue to work across the digital and linear entertainment revenue teams.
