Shopping around for a budget PC under $1,000? Amazon doesn’t really have a good deal for Prime Day, but fortunately Walmart does. For a limited time, the ABS Cyclone gaming PC with GeForce RTX 5060 graphics card drops to just $899 shipped. Despite the low price tag, this PC is still (much) more powerful than the more expensive Steam Machine and will get you a consistent 60fps in most games at 1080p.
ABS Cyclone RTX 5060 Gaming PC for $899
ABS Cyclone Intel Core i5-14400F RTX 5060 Gaming PC (16GB/1TB)
The ABS Cyclone gaming PC is equipped with an Intel Core i5-14400F CPU, GeForce RTX 5060 GPU, 16GB of DDR4-3200MHz RAM, and a 1TB NVMe SSD. The Intel Core i5-14400F CPU is a 10-core, 16-thread processor with a max boost clock of 4.7GHz. It’s a solid general-purpose CPU that complements the RTX 5060 GPU. Note that this sytem uses DDR4 instead of DDR5 memory, although you won’t notice any performance difference during gaming.
The RTX 5060 graphics card is a great budget option for 1080p gaming
The RTX 5060 outperforms its predecessor the RTX 4060 by about 20%-30% and that’s before factoring in DLSS 4 with multi-frame generation. This is a solid budget option for 1080p gaming and you should be able to squeeze consistent 60fps+ framerate out of just about any game. If you’re gunning for higher resolutions like 1440p or 4K, however, you’ll definitely want to upgrade to an RTX 5060 Ti (16GB) or better.
If you’re even a little bit PC savvy, this is a much better deal than the Steam Machine
On a side note, this is a considerably more powerful computer than the $1,049 Steam Machine, which is equipped with a very low wattage CPU and a custom GPU equivalent to the Radeon RX 7600 or GeForce RTX 4060. Expect to see at the bare minimum a 20%-30% performance advantage for an RTX 5060 equipped gaming rig. The fact that the ABS Cyclone costs $150 less makes the comparison a moot point.
