Sony seems to have quietly launched a new PlayStation rewards program on the PS Store. With no prior announcement whatsoever, the program is giving some users instant wallet credit when they buy select PS5 games.
According to a recent Reddit post, the promotion appears under a few new titles, including the brand-new The Blood of Dawnwalker and others. The fine print under the offer says it ends September 29, 2026.
Players who see the promotion report receiving $10, €10, or £10 in PSN wallet credit immediately after purchasing an eligible game. This credit works anywhere on the PS Store.
The option isn’t visible on all accounts and may be part of a limited test in regions like the US and the UK. There doesn’t seem to be a way to prompt it; either you get a bit of cash back on your purchase, or you don’t.
This new cashback system follows Sony’s winding down of PlayStation Stars, which stopped accepting new members in May 2025 and will shut down completely on November 2, 2026. The Wallet Credit program rewards direct purchases without using points or collectibles, unlike the Stars program, which involved points, campaigns, and a mobile app.
Sony has not issued an official statement about the new program, its terms, or whether it will expand beyond the current test group.
