Xbox Wireless Gaming Controller Is Back at Its Best Price in 3 Months to Clear Out Stock, With a USB

The condition of your controller and the performance it offers can completely change the way you game. Old controllers often have unresponsive buttons, worn-out grips, and almost-dead batteries, all of which can make gaming more frustrating than enjoyable.

If that’s something your controller has been struggling with, you might finally want to retire it and pick up a new one. Amazon is offering the Xbox wireless gaming controller (with a USB-C cable) in Carbon Black for $49 right now, after knocking 25% off its normal price. If black feels too basic, there are several other interesting colors to consider too, such as Deep Pink, Electric Volt, and Pulse Red. The prices vary, though, and not every color is on sale right now.

    Comfortable to hold

The package comes with the Xbox wireless controller and a 9-inch USB-C cable. You can play wirelessly when you don’t want to bother with cords and would like the freedom to game from wherever you want in the room, whether it’s from the couch, the desk, or even while standing when you can’t control the excitement. The wired option comes in handy when you need your controller to keep going without worrying about battery life. You also get an instant connection with the cable plugged in and won’t have to bother with setting up a Bluetooth connection!

But regardless of the mode you choose, you’ll appreciate the modern design with sculpted surfaces and refined geometry that offer a comfortable hold. The hybrid D-pad and textured grip on the triggers, bumpers, and back case make it easy to lock targets in and react quickly at any moment. You’ll have the option to remap the buttons and create personalized controller profiles on the Xbox Accessories app for a more customized feeling.

The standard AA batteries get you up to 40 hours of playtime in the wireless mode, which is plenty for longer gaming sessions. In addition to that, there’s built-in audio support that lets you plug in compatible headsets using the 3.5mm audio jack for chatting with other players in the game.

Compatibility is impressive, as the controller plays nicely with mobile, Smart TV, PC, consoles, and supported VR headsets with XBOX Cloud Gaming. Switching between devices is easy and quick, so you can also move between gadgets in a single session without breaking your momentum.

The Carbon Black option is now discounted by 25% on Amazon, which drops its price to $49. Other colors are available too, but the prices may vary.
