If anyone thought married life would slow down Travis Kelce, Andy Reid isn’t buying it.
The Kansas City Chiefs head coach jokingly credited Taylor Swift with keeping the star tight end motivated after questions surfaced about whether his <a href="https://www.nbcnewyork.com/entertainment/entertainment-news/inside-taylor-swift-travis-kelces-high-security-wedding-invite/6528526/” rel=”nofollow noopener” target=”_blank”>offseason wedding and honeymoon might affect his preparation for the 2026 NFL season.

“Everybody questioned with the wedding and all of that — ‘would he be out of shape and honeymooning the whole time [in the offseason]?’ and all of that,” Reid told KSHB 41 News.
Reid quickly dismissed those concerns, praising Kelce’s behind-the-scenes commitment.
“But he really works his rear end off and I think Taylor, you’re putting on four-hour shows, you’ve got to work hard too,” Reid said. “So I’m sure she kicks him in the butt a little there too.”
The lighthearted comments came after Kelce delivered a standout performance in the Chiefs’ 33-30 overtime win over the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday Night Football. The 36-year-old caught nine passes for 101 yards and a touchdown as Kansas City improved to 2-0 on the season.

As for Swift, she appeared just as excited about Kelce’s performance.
The pop superstar attended Sunday’s game at Arrowhead Stadium and was shown celebrating from a luxury suite after Kelce’s first touchdown of the season. Cameras caught Swift pointing to her wedding ring and mouthing, “That’s my husband!” as she cheered on the Chiefs star.
Reid may have joked that Swift helps keep Kelce motivated. Judging by her reaction Sunday night, she’s certainly enjoying the payoff.
