Mario Kart Tour originally released for mobile devices back in September 2019 and it saw 4 years new content and regular updates. That support came to an end in October 2023 when Nintendo officially ended the distribution of new content for the game. Since then, we’ve only seen Nintendo introduce fresh content to celebrate the arrival of Mario Kart World, but then it was right back to a loop of previous updates
While players have still be enjoying the recycled content in Mario Kart Tour, it seems even that experience is going to come to an end rather soon. Dataminers have gone poking around in Mario Kart Tour and have discovered a wealth of information that points to the game seeing its service come to an end on Sept. 30th, 2026
Talk of Mario Kart Tour seeing service end first sprouted up when select users started to receive emails saying that their Gold Pass subscriptions had been cancelled. This caused dataminers to dig into the game to see if they could find any explanation, which led to the discovery of all sorts of messaging detailing the game’s upcoming discontinuation.
