Arkansas Comic Con

Arkansas Comic Con returns to the Statehouse Convention Center in Little Rock for three days of celebrity appearances, cosplay, panels and vendors. Guests appearing include Ming-Na Wen, Danny Trejo, Dee Snider, Tom Welling and Kurt Angle.

Billy Idol at Walmart AMP

Rock legend Billy Idol brings his “It’s A Nice Day To…Tour Again!” tour to Rogers on Saturday. The show features support from Grocery Bag and promises a night of hits including “Rebel Yell,” “White Wedding” and “Cradle of Love.”

Ashley McBryde at Robinson Center

Arkansas native Ashley McBryde returns to her home state for a performance at Robinson Center. The Grammy-winning singer-songwriter will take the stage Saturday night as part of her Into The Wild Tour, with the show beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Beatles at the Ridge

Walnut Ridge celebrates its unique connection to music history with Beatles at the Ridge. The city is home to a famous Beatles-themed mural commemorating the band’s 1964 visit, which inspired the festival and helped cement the town’s place in Beatles history.

• Amy Grant at Oaklawn Event Center — Known as the “Queen of Christian Pop,” Amy Grant will perform Friday night at Oaklawn Event Center in Hot Springs with special guest Franni Cash.

• “Marie & Rosetta” at AMFA — The Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts hosts the acclaimed production exploring the relationship between gospel legends Sister Rosetta Tharpe and Marie Knight as they formed one of music’s most influential duos.

• Rodney Carrington at Saracen Casino Resort — Country artist and comedian Rodney Carrington brings his stand-up show to Pine Bluff on Saturday with support from Conner Larson.

• Oktoberfest at Lost Forty Brewing — Lost Forty celebrates the arrival of fall with a family-friendly Oktoberfest celebration benefiting the Arkansas Foodbank on Saturday afternoon.

• Downtown Food Truck Festival — One of Little Rock’s largest food events returns Sunday with dozens of food trucks gathering downtown, offering everything from barbecue and chicken and waffles to tacos, noodles and more.
