It seems if Marvel has its way, there’s going to be no shortage of more “X-Men ’97” episodes in the near future
Eric Lewald, a story editor/writer on the original 1990s “X-Men” animated series and an executive producer on the current show, says Marvel’s TV & streaming chief Brad Winderbaum is over the moon with their series
In an interview for POC Culture, Lewald says Winderbaum wants “X-Men ’97” to continue for many years, and he’s all for it:
“Brad’s [Winderbaum] bursting up and down, and you know he wants to do 10 [seasons], and we want him to do 10. We want eight years from now to be having more conversations like this about Season 10. With 60 years of <a href="https://comicvibe.com/dc-movies-ranking-every-dc-comics-movie-from-worst-to-best/” title=”DC Movies: Ranking Every DC Comics Movie From Worst to Best”>comics and all these characters, there’s really no limit.”
Fellow executive producer Larry Houston confirmed the production team is already actively developing additional seasons, and Marvel has already verbally confirmed a fourth season
Houston’s own aspiration is to match the original series’ run of five seasons. The second season kicked off on July 1st on Disney+ and will continue for the next few weeks
