Boruto release schedule (Updated July 2026): When the next chapter of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex is coming out

The story of Naruto isn’t over yet, as his son has a manga with new Boruto chapters coming out most months

After a long hiatus, the Boruto release schedule has become fairly consistent over the past few years. The series, which is a direct sequel to Naruto, is focused on showing what happens after Narutoachieved his goal of becoming Hokage and the impact his actions have had on his son. The Boruto manga continues to run, with new chapters released most months

How often do new Boruto chapters come out?

New Boruto chapters are usually released once a month. Originally, the series was published in Weekly Shonen Jump, which meant it had a weekly release schedule. However, since 2019, it has been published in V Jump, a monthly magazine also This means that new chapters of Boruto typically come out around the 20th of each month, but the exact publication date can change

What is the Boruto: Two Blue Vortex 36 release date?

The next chapter of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex will be Chapter 36, which will be released on July 20, 2026. This follows Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 35, which came out on June 18, 2026. We’ve approximated the release dates for upcoming Boruto chapters below, but due to the fact that V Jump often shifts its release date each month, it is difficult to know for sure. They are usually released around the 20th of each month

The upcoming Boruto release schedule is:

    • Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 36 release date: July 20, 2026
    • Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 37 release date: August 20, 2026
    • Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 38 release date: September 20, 2026

Where can you read the Boruto manga?

You can read both Borutomanga on the Shonen Jump app or on the Viz Media website. Both have fresh translations available shortly after the new chapter’s release in Japan. Boruto: Naruto Next Generations and Boruto: Two Blue Vortex are both available on these services

What is Boruto: Two Blue Vortex?

Boruto: Two Blue Vortex is the sequel to Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, which was also a sequel to the Naruto manga. Launched two years after Naruto’s serialization ended, Boruto: Naruto Next Generations picked up the story when Naruto had achieved his dream of becoming leader of the Hidden Leaf Ninja. It ran from 2016 to 2023. In April 2023, Boruto: Naruto Next Generations went on a multi-month hiatus. When it returned, it was now called Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, which is how the series has been known since.

    Who writes the Boruto manga?

Since November 2020, Masashi Kishimoto has been the main writer on the Boruto manga. Kishimoto was the writer and artist of the original Naruto manga, but declined to return for the sequel. Instead, Ukyo Kodachi was the series’ writer while Mikio Ikemoto was the artist. Ikemoto was an assistant to Kishimoto on the original Naruto manga. Kishimoto was initially only slightly involved in Boruto, but he eventually stepped in to become the main writer when Kodachi stepped down

    Is there a Boruto anime?

There is a Borutoanime, but no new episodes have been released since March 2023. Around this time, it was apparent that the Boruto: Naruto Next Generations manga would need a hiatus and that the anime would swiftly run out ofthere are plans to adapt the second part of the Boruto manga

Is the Naruto anime coming back?

Officially, the Naruto anime is coming back with four more episodes to celebrate the anime’s 20th anniversary. However, the episodes were pulled briefly before they were meant to air in 2023, and there hasn’t been any word about when they will air. Technically, they haven’t been cancelled, but it seems unlikely that we’ll ever see the Naruto 20th Anniversary anime episodes at this point
