The White House has launched five retro-style arcade games promoting President Donald Trump’s agenda, including two that let players simulate building a border wall and deporting migrants. The White House’s release of the deportation games arrives as concerns over ICE tactics grows during the administration’s immigration crackdown.
The official White House Arcade went live Thursday with games inspired by familiar titles such as Tetris, Snake and Flappy Bird.
“Build the Wall” asks players to stack wall sections while small figures move toward the barrier. The White House description tells users to “Protect the border from the coming horde,” and players lose if too many figures cross before the wall is completed.
“Rio Run” uses Snake-style gameplay. Players move a figure along the Rio Grande to block and deport figures depicting immigrants while trying to increase their score.
The White House deportation games are part of a five-title collection. “Flappy Bill” has a bald eagle carry legislation over the National Mall, while “Supply Line” asks players to sort school lunches under the Make America Healthy Again initiative. “Trump Savings Tycoon” centers on filling Trump Accounts for children.
The administration promoted the arcade on social media with the message, “Build the wall. Deport. Fill a Trump Account.”
The immigration-themed games arrive as the administration continues an aggressive deportation campaign. TheGrio reported in April that Black immigrants were being deported at rates disproportionate to their share of the undocumented population, while newer polling showed Black Americans expressing high levels of concern about ICE enforcement.
Immigration-rights advocates have criticized the games as dehumanizing and unserious given the real-world consequences of detention and deportation.
The White House Arcade lists all five games as publicly playable and says another title is “coming soon,” suggesting the collection could expand.
