    • The Apothecary Diaries secures the top spot in a recent survey of the most popular manga series in Japan, surpassing One Piece in votes.
    • One Piece, despite its immense popularity and record-breaking sales, falls to seventh place in the survey with just 557 votes.
    • U.S. fans of One Piece can look forward to new T-shirts inspired by the manga’s Elbaph arc, as well as a new anime adaptation set to be released on Netflix in February.

A new survey from Japanese news website Oriconhas revealed which manga series are in the country’s top 10 and, spoiler alert, One Pieceisn’t in the top spot.

Oriconconducted a new survey for its visitors to determine which Japanese manga are the most popular in the country. At the top spot was The Apothecary Diarieswith a whopping 1,200 votes. Next up was Frieren: Beyond Journey’s Endwith 1,1118 votes, followed by Spy x Familywith 831 votes.

From there, a few other manga that have highly acclaimed anime series appeared on the list. Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba came in fourth place with 685 votes, and Jujutsu Kaisencame in sixth with 587 votes.

One Piecereceived just 557 votes and came in seventh place, which is a shock based on the popularity of the series and its accompanying anime. The manga series that follows the journey of Monkey D. Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates has sold over 600 million copies and been named not only the best-selling manga series ever, but also the best-selling comic series ever.

One Piecepreviously ranked at the top spot in Oricon’sweekly manga chart in past years. While its ranking has fallen in Japan, there are still plenty of opportunities for U.S. fans of the series.

The manga’s partnership with UNIQLO is set to produce some new T-shirts inspired by the new Elbaph arc. On July 20, a new capsule collection featuring illustrations from One Piecewill be available stateside. Look for the tees, priced at $29.90, in UNIQLO stores and online.

Meanwhile, Netflix announced that it will be releasing a new anime adaptation of One Piece next February. It’ll be produced by the renowned WIT Studio, which is responsible for Spy x Familyand the first three seasons of Attack on Titan.
