The network announced on Thursday that the longtime anchor and host “is no longer with FOX News Media” effective immediately: “We thank Maria for her work over the last 12 ½ years and wish her all the best on her next chapter.”
The sudden turn of events came just after the last episode of Mornings With Maria aired on FOX Business Network. Going forward, “the show will transition to Mornings With FOX Business beginning tomorrow with rotating anchors.”
Bartiromo’s other news program, Maria Bartiromo’s Wall Street, which airs on Friday evenings, has also been renamed FBN’s Wall Streetand will be hosted by Cheryl Casone as well as rotating anchors.
Bartiromo’s attorney did not immediately respond to EW’s request for comment.
The Emmy-winning news veteran joined Fox in 2014 after 20 years at CNBC, where she hosted Closing Bell and On the Money With Maria Bartiromo. In 1995, she became the first journalist to report live from the floor of the New York Stock Exchange on a daily basis.
