When I first saw the licensing announcement Quality property, reject residents I think this will be another comedy driven by fan service since it’s the latest in the series Minazuki Show (Do not compare with Hide Morishita), the cartoonist has created many famous ecchi works over the decades – including his most famous work – Lost property in heaven. His other notable works include predator and Gudre Sora Nagisaboth of which are also currently licensed Yen Press.
The cover for the first issue of Rejects For Residents led me to believe it would have the same ecchi-fueled focus, but I was surprised. I’m not saying there aren’t any fanservice or ecchi scenes, but the series offers a healthy dose of deftness, as Minazuki displays some quality writing by focusing on a “found family” made up of rejected people ability. Dam Residence Hotel Home.
Residents refuse Mainly follows two protagonists, Sayama Yugo – The seemingly useless, unemployed 20-year-old, and Hamnir ——An equally useless angel descends from the sky to help the wayward and lost souls in their struggle. Yuugo seems to understand the predicament he’s in, but would almost always rather make excuses for himself than actually solve the problem. Haniel, on the other hand, is extremely gullible and quickly falls for Yonggo’s pathetic excuses, causing her to get further and further away from her goal of helping Yonggo, which often results in her being kicked out of the room.

It is in these scenes that the story takes place Residents refuse The main beat of “Hamnir” is that of a slice-of-life comedy, with Hamnir trying to find a way to help Yuwu while also becoming friends with the other rejected Damn Residences.
The cast includes a strange but friendly closer, a pair of close-knit sisters, a single father and his young daughter, whom the Rejects lovingly care for – often at their own expense. What really caught me off guard was the interactions between the other residents, as Minazuki Suu took great care to show their inner monologues and interactions with each other.
Each of these so-called “rejects” is here for a reason, but they all see and understand the problems each faces. Therefore, they always choose to face it together. This makes the connection between the characters feel very special, which I found very refreshing.

As I mentioned before, when Hamniel first appears in front of Yuugo (or at least tries to), we’re quickly introduced to one of the major fanservice jokes in the series (so far), as she immediately falls into to Earth in the portal she created. Apparently this happened to her all the time, and in her embarrassment she always blamed it on her “love handle.”
Of course, the joke always falls on Hamnir’s parade whenever she tries to appear angelic, only to make her extremely embarrassed. That said, while the joke does appear a few times in the original volume, it’s not repeated often enough to become repetitive or offensive.
I should also point out that while some sites label “Rejects for Residents” as an “ecchi” series, the series itself is only rated a “T” for teen audiences, which I honestly think is appropriate, although it remains to be seen if future releases will be changes occur.

The final aspect of Rejects For Residents that really caught my attention was the striking artwork and character designs throughout, especially the beautiful scenery surrounding the Dame Residences. Minazuki often chooses to switch art styles on the fly, resulting in some very hilarious chibi versions of the character’s scenes, as well as another joke from Hamnir, who is drawn in detail every time she tries to accomplish something you expect from the sky ‘s angel… only for her to fall to the ground, or fall for one of Yuugo’s many excuses. Double-page spreads also deserve attention.
If you’re in the mood to read a slice-of-life comedy with a healthy dose of fan service, “Excellent Properties, Deny Residents” is a great choice, and it’s a series I will continue to follow. Prime Properties, Residents Reject – Volume 1 1 is now available at your favorite retailers. roll. 2 is scheduled for release on December 10, 2024.
