5 Best New Movies And Shows To Stream This Weekend On Netflix, Apple TV, Hulu, And More (Nov. 6-8)

It’s the first full weekend of November, the weather is finally turning truly chilly, and Halloweekend is in the rear-view mirror. Whether you went all-out on your costume last weekend or you elected to slap a nametag with a different moniker on your shirt and call it a day (which is my preferred way to celebrate Halloween if asked to do so), this weekend is perfect for staying in and curling up with a fresh series or movie. So, what’s new on the big streamers?

Between Apple, Peacock, Hulu, and Netflix, there’s a decent spate of new releases heading to streaming this weekend (and some of them even dropped earlier in the week). Whether you want to watch a gripping spy drama, a truly ridiculous legal drama, a breezy sports comedy, a crime thriller tinged with romance, or a quick-paced series featuring one of the best and weirdest pairings in TV history, I’ve got you covered.

    Carolina Caroline (Netflix)

Director Adam Carter Rehmeier, known for indie films like “Snack Shack” and “Dinner in America,” teamed up with modern scream queen Samara Weaving and horror staple Kyle Gallner for this year’s “Carolina Caroline” — which just hit Netflix, marking its first home on a major streaming service. Weaving, who also led “Ready or Not 2: Here I Come” and “Over Your Dead Body” recently (andwho’s joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe to play Emma Frost), stars as Caroline Daniels, a gas station attendant who falls in love with Gallner’s con artist Oliver Anderson. As the two make their way to South Carolina from rural Texas, they end up committing robbery after robbery, leaving destruction in their wake.

Weaving’s Caroline and Gallner’s Oliver make for a great modern Bonnie and Clyde, and “Carolina Caroline” is a gripping, entertaining, and extraordinarily fun film that also features Jon Gries (“Napoleon Dynamite,” “The White Lotus”) and Kyra Sedgwick in supporting roles. If you want a crime drama packed with plenty of romance, “Carolina Caroline” on Netflix is your best bet.

    All’s Fair Season 2 (Hulu)

Congratulations to all bad TV enjoyers: One of the worst shows ever made is back for Season 2! Ryan Murphy’s gleefully ludicrous legal drama “All’s Fair,” which undoubtedly gives real lawyers raging headaches if they dare to tune in, stars Kim Kardashian as high-powered lawyer Allura Grant, who works alongside Liberty Ronson (Naomi Watts), Emerald J. Greene-Ball (Niecy Nash-Betts), Dina Standish (Glenn Close), and Milan (Teyana Taylor) at a firm that handles divorces. Sarah Paulson, a regular Murphy collaborator, livens up proceedings as rival lawyer Carrington “Carr” Lane, who is unbelievably twisted and extremely fun, and Nash-Betts, Watts, and Close are all game to ham it up.

I don’t think I’m blowing anyone’s mind when I say Kim Kardashian is a generationally dreadful actor who should not even appear in commercials, let alone a scripted drama that could be dishy and fun if she wasn’t swanning around with absolutely zero expression in every single scene. Still, if you dig wildly bad TV and just want to switch your brain off, check out “All’s Fair.” Besides, if nothing else, it has given us an incredible episode of its fellow Hulu series “The Kardashians” where Close, out of character, gets very drunk off martinis at Kris Jenner’s house.

The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins Season 2 (Peacock)

Brina, Reggie, and Rusty smiling on a couch in The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins

I love “30 Rock,” I have immense respect for weird little guy and short king Daniel Radcliffe, and I’ve been riding for Bobby Moynihan since the first time I saw him perform as Drunk Uncle on “Saturday Night Live.” Essentially, “The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins” — which stars Tracy Morgan, was created by Robert Carlock and Sam Means, is executive produced by Tina Fey, and stars Morgan and Radcliffe as the unlikeliest and best duo in recent TV memory — was made for me in a lab. My enduring affection for this show aside, I think it’s sure to delight pretty much anybody, and when Season 1 premiered in January, it immediately became one of the best shows of 2026.

The premise? Morgan plays Reggie Dinkins, a disgraced NFL star who was banned from the New York Jets and all other professional teams in the league after being caught betting on his games. (Hilariously, he only bet on his own performance to inspire himself to play better.) Thus, Reggie tries to regain his tattered reputation alongside his best friend and former teammate Rusty (Moynihan), his ex-wife and manager Monica (Erika Alexander), his young but extremely compatible fiancée Brina (Precious Joy), his son Carmelo (Jalyn Hall), and Radcliffe’s Oscar-winning documentarian Arthur Tobin. With Arthur living in his palatial suburban New York mansion to make a documentary that will hopefully relaunch Reggie’s career and get him into the NFL Hall of Fame, Reggie does his best to refurbish his image, and the results are extremely funny. “Reggie Dinkins” Season 2 dropped on NBC and Peacock on November 2, and if you’re returning to this near-perfect series, welcome back. If you’re new, go laugh your way through Season 1, then join us.

    Black Doves Season 2 (Netflix)

If you enjoyed Keira Knightley and Ben Whishaw’s delightful spy drama “Black Doves” when it dropped back on Netflix in 2024, you’ll be pleased to hear the series — created by Joe Barton — released its second season on the streamer on November 5. Across six episodes, we pick up where the show left off with Helen Dawson (Knightley), a secret Black Doves operative who sells secrets to the highest bidder and also happens to be married to a Conservative MP for a major UK constituency and Secretary of State for Defense, Wallace Webb (Andrew Buchan). In the beginning of Season 1, Helen is shocked and saddened to learn that her lover, Jason Davies (Andre Koji), has died under suspicious circumstances … and her secret identity may now be at risk.

Throughout that first season, Helen teams up with her old friend and hired assassin Sam Young (Whishaw), who’s sent by the Doves to help protect her. In Season 2, after a shocking cliffhanger ending, we follow Helen and Sam as he desperately tries to keep her safe, even as she’s targeted by nefarious forces throughout England. Knightley and Whishaw are fantastic together, and if you sort of forgot “Black Doves” was a thing since Season 1 premiered 2 years ago, I’m happy to tell you that it’s back and still an extremely fun and enthralling watch.

    Stick Season 2 (Apple TV)

Apple TV has some of the best comedy series on television hiding on its service (which seems to get overlooked in favor of ones like Netflix, Hulu, and Prime Video), and if you’re a fan of “Ted Lasso” but haven’t watched “Stick,” you’re really missing out. Owen Wilson leads this sports comedy created by Jason Keller and stars as Pryce Cahill, a former golf pro nicknamed “The Stick” who’s stuck selling clubs and coaching at a country club after years of a career decline. At work one day, Pryce meets a gifted young golfer, Santi Wheeler (Peter Dager), who quit golfing after some personal issues got in the way of his game. Determined to make Santi the next golf star, Pryce ends up roping him into a cross-country tour to show off his talents alongside Santi’s mother Elena (Mariana Treviño), Pryce’s former caddy Mitts (Marc Maron), and a onetime bartender and current caddy Zero Duffy (Lili Kay), all of whom pile into an RV to make the trip.

“Stick” Season 2 adds great actors like Timothy Olyphant (as Pryce’s former golf rival Clark Ross) as regulars and guest stars like recent Emmy winner Rhea Seehorn as Pryce’s former coach, with Billy Zane also joining Season 2 in an as-yet-unknown capacity. The first two episodes of the sophomore season dropped on November 4, so catch up before it continues its run.
