Dragon Ball Super: Beerus Special Panel Packs 3,000 Fans at New York Comic Con for the World Premiere Screening of Episode 1
English Dub Cast Take the Stage with Video Comments from Ms. Masako Nozawa and Mr. Koichi Yamadera ahead of the Series Premiere

Oct. 8, 2026 (New York)– Today, the “Dragon Ball Super: Beerus SPECIAL PANEL” was held at New York Comic Con 2026, currently underway at the Javits Center in New York, where a crowd of 3,000 fans filled the hall for the world premiere screening of Episode 1 of the upcoming Dragon Ball Super: Beerus. Before the screening, Dragon Ball Super English dub voice actors Mr. Jason Douglas (Beerus) and Mr. Ian Sinclair (Whis), together with Ms. Monica Rial (Bulma) as MC, took to the stage to talk about the appeal and highlights of the series and were joined by comments from Ms. Masako Nozawa, the voice of Son Goku, and Mr. Koichi Yamadera, the voice of the God of Destruction Beerus.

Kicking off the panel with a quick introduction, Ms. Rial walked the audience through the DRAGON BALL booth on the show floor before running through the newest updates from across the franchise. At the booth, the SUPER Launch Visual artwork of Beerus and Goku and standing statues of Beerus and Whis were on display, alongside playable stations for Dragon Ball Super Card Game Fusion World and DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 3 and a lineup of figures, drawing large crowds of fans. Visitors received a Comic Con bag featuring the SUPER Launch Visual and a Super Saiyan God Goku headset, with a promotional card or a lanyard for anyone who tried the card game or XENOVERSE 3. The updates themselves spanned the wider DRAGON BALL slate, arriving as a run of announcement videos: new characters coming to Dragon Ball Legends and Dragon Ball Z Dokkan Battle, a release date announcement for XENOVERSE 3, and the FB11 and BT32 sets for Fusion World, along with the S.H.Figuarts Super Saiyan 4 Son Goku -Exclusive Edition- figure.

“Today is day one of New York Comic Con, and I’m so happy to kick off the convention and share the world premiere of Dragon Ball Super: Beerus with so many fans” said Monica Rial.

Mr. Douglas and Mr. Sinclair took the stage to cheers from the crowd before sharing their thoughts on the series.

“The reason I became an actor in the first place is that I fell in love with great writing, interesting characters, and exciting action. Dragon Ball as a series has it all,” shared Douglas. Sinclair added, “If you were to tell me I could only be in one show ever, and that it was Dragon Ball, I’d be more than happy. I love this series so much, and it’s incredible to be a part of it and be in a room with so many people that love the same thing as much as I do.”

A joint video comment from Ms. Masako Nozawa and Mr. Koichi Yamadera followed, with Ms. Nozawa saying, “Goku and his friends just keep getting stronger, and the story Toriyama-sensei created is truly captivating. I would be delighted if people all over the world enjoyed it.” Mr. Yamadera shared, “Beerus is right there in the title, so please be sure to watch Beerus in action: how cool he is, how frightening, how strong!” Both spoke of their love for the series.

To close the talk segment, Ms. Masako Nozawa appeared once more in a video message and led the entire venue in a “Kamehameha,” uniting the crowd as one. At the world premiere screening of Episode 1, huge applause broke out as the screening began, and the excitement continued well after the premiere had ended.

The campaign has also taken to the streets, with a wrapped bus touring New York for a month from October 5 and key visuals posted at subway entrances across the city. In Los Angeles, a matching wrapped bus is on the road, and key visuals are on display at bus stops. The Super Surge visual can also be found at 28 Simon® malls nationwide, and the Super Surge Trailer at two select shopping malls, including Haywood Mall in Greenville, SC, and Castleton Square in Indianapolis, IN.

Dragon Ball Super: Beerus premieres in Japan on Sunday, October 11. North American streaming platforms and timing will be announced separately. The series is an ENHANCED edition of the anime Dragon Ball Super, based on Akira Toriyama’s original work, story, and character design, introducing a large volume of newly added and redrawn cuts and a reconstructed narrative, with cutting-edge visual expression that delivers more immersive battle scenes and a more faithful representation of the original manga.
