    October 8, 2026

YuMe Toys, makers of toys and collectibles made by fans for fans, today announced its return to New York Comic Con (NYCC), taking place Oct. 8 through 11 at Javits Center.

With a full lineup of activations and exclusive collectibles, fans and collectors will have multiple ways to discover and engage with YuMe’s latest products throughout the show, from limited-edition Sanrio and anime collectibles to a live shopping experience with Walmart.com and an exclusive Kaiju No. 8 release with The Pop Insider.

YuMe and Walmart.com Bring Collectibles to the NYCC Show Floor

Throughout NYCC, Walmart will showcase a selection of YuMe collectibles at its booth, giving fans an opportunity to discover some of YuMe’s latest products inspired by beloved entertainment, anime and gaming franchises.

Adding to the excitement, a highly limited YuMe Hello Kitty and Friens 7″ Cute Creepy Clown Badtz-Maru Collectible Plush will also be available in limited quantities, in addition to other fan favorites. Featuring Badtz-Maru in a black-and-red gothic circus-inspired design, the plush will be released in a limited run of just 1,000 pieces, each stickered with the NYCC 2026 logo.

Live from NYCC: YuMe x Walmart.com

On Sunday, Oct. 11 at 1 p.m. ET, YuMe Toys will team up with Walmart.com for a live shopping experience broadcast directly from the Walmart booth on the NYCC show floor. YuMe’s Ben Ibarra and Michelle Phillips Jones will be live on camera showcasing a variety of YuMe collectibles featured on Walmart.com. Viewers will be able to watch, ask questions and engage in real time during the livestream.

Exclusive Kaiju No. 8 Hero Box with The Pop Insider

YuMe will also partner with The Pop Insider for an all-day Sunday activation at Booth #1935, highlighted by an exclusive Kaiju No. 8 Hero Box in Window Box format. Only 70 units of the limited-edition Kaiju No. 8 Hero Box will be available for purchase, exclusively on Sunday, Oct. 11, giving fans and collectors a limited opportunity to take home the special release.

Alongside the Kaiju No. 8 Defense Force Series release, YuMe will have additional collectibles available for purchase throughout the day, including the Sanrio Blue Flutter Series Plush in blind boxes and its PlayStation Hero Boxes, featuring collectible designs inspired by iconic gaming characters and fan-favorite franchises.

Additionally, five $150 gift certificates from YuMe’s partner, Entertainment Earth, will be awarded to YuMe customers at random throughout the day on Sunday, Oct. 11, at The Pop Insider booth.

Celebrating its 20th anniversary, NYCC brings together fans, creators, publishers, entertainment brands and collectors for one of the largest pop culture celebrations on the East Coast. With the holiday season just around the corner, the convention also offers fans an opportunity to discover new collectibles, share their fandom and reconnect with the collector community.

    Daniel Pickett

AFi founder and Editor-In-Chief Daniel “Julius Marx” Pickett has been around toys his whole life. The first line he ever collected was Mego’s World’s Greatest Super Heroes line back in the 70s. He has been surrounded by collectables ever since.

In 1999 he was confounded by a lack of information and news about some of his favorite toy lines he was collecting. Since he couldn’t find the information he decided to pursue it himself thinking other people might also be interested in the same news. He started writing a weekly column on the toy industry and action figure for a toy news site and in a years time he tripled the sites daily traffic with his updates, reviews and product features.

He built relationships with every major toy manufacturer and many sculptors, painters and mold makers. He grew his hobby into a world wide expertise that the industry has embraced.

In 2004 he teamed up with his toy buddy Jason “ToyOtter” Geyer and they created their own website www.ActionFigureInsider.com.

Daniel has been quoted in both industry and mass media press outlets. Over the years Daniel and AFi have been sought out as experts in the field. Daniel was regularly featured on “Attack of the Show” on the G4 network as the primary contributor to their “Mint On Card” segment, and our front page has been linked to from USA Today’s
“Pop Candy” Blog twice. Daniel’s content has also been featured on Bloomberg News, MSNBC.com, Time.com, The Wall Street Journal, The Saturday Evening Post, CNN.com, AssociatedPress.com
    Wired.com, Fark.com, Boing-Boing, Gizmodo.com, Ain’t It Cool News, the Official
Star Wars blog, Geekologie, G4, CNet and Toy Fare magazine, among many
others. He has consulted on toy lines, books, documentaries and TV shows.

But all of that really just sounds snooty and “tootin’ his own horn” – the long and short of it is that Daniel loves toys and he LOVES talking about them.
