After six days of high-intensity action, the Little League Softball World Series will conclude with this year’s championship game between Kentucky and North Carolina at 3 p.m. ET on ABC.
Since last year’s champion — West Suburban Little League from Johnstown, Pennsylvania — was not in the 2026 LLSWS field and neither was the state of Pennsylvania, a new champion and another state will take home this year’s banner.
If North Carolina wins it all this year, it will be the state’s fourth overall LLSWS title and first since 2024, when Pitt County Girls Softball Little League from Winterville, NC, won it.
If Kentucky wins it all this year, it will be the first-ever title for the state and also the first title for the rising Daviess County Little League program from Owensboro, Kentucky.
USA TODAY Sports will provide coverage of both the LLSWS third place consolation game and the LLSWS championship game on Sunday, Aug. 9, in Greenville, North Carolina.
