ZA/UM Studio today released ZERO PARADES: Director’s Cut on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2, bringing its critically acclaimed espionage RPG to consoles for the first time.
Console players receive the Director’s Cut from day one, including all post-launch improvements made to ZERO PARADES on PC alongside substantial new content created for the Director’s Cut.
The Director’s Cut From Day One
Console players aren’t getting a straight port. ZERO PARADES: Director’s Cut brings together everything the team has built since the game’s original PC release, making it a tangibly different game from the one that first launched.
It adds approximately 40,000 words of new material, creating more opportunities to deepen relationships, discover new ways through difficult situations and explore Hershel Wilk’s own embattled psyche.
Among the new material is the Quisach Roundabout, a completely new Dramatic Encounter in which Hershel and Ramses find themselves stoned out of their minds, behind the wheel of a hijacked tuk-tuk and struggling with the deceptively simple task of taking the right exit.
The Director’s Cut also introduces Backstage Mode, turning the traditional making-of into a space players can actually explore. Players can walk through earlier iterations of selected levels, uncover cut content and hear stories about how ZERO PARADES was made, drawn from across the development team and narrated by Art Director Kaspar Tamsalu.
Beyond its new content, the Director’s Cut completes and revises the game’s English voice-over, adds further visual and atmospheric detail to Portofiro, and introduces an expanded range of quality-of-life and accessibility improvements.
“Since launch, we’ve kept working on ZERO PARADES with a very simple goal: to get closer to the version of the game we always wanted players to experience. The Director’s Cut is the culmination of that work, but it’s not just a collection of fixes and refinements. We’ve added substantial new material, new ways to experience Portofiro and, hopefully, plenty of reasons for players who were there on day one to come back and get lost in it again.” Allen Murray, Studio Head, ZA/UM.
Built for Console
On PlayStation 5, ZERO PARADES: Director’s Cut supports the DualSense wireless controller’s haptic feedback, adaptive triggers and built-in speaker, as well as 3D Audio and 4K output.
On Nintendo Switch 2, players can explore Portofiro in TV mode, tabletop mode or handheld mode, with Joy-Con 2 mouse controls, touch screen support and HD rumble 2.
Across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2, players receive the complete Director’s Cut experience from day one.
“ZERO PARADES is a game about getting to know a place. Look closely at Portofiro, and you’ll gradually discover just how strange the city can be. On console, haptic feedback lets you feel the city under your fingertips, and handheld play means you can take Portofiro with you wherever you go.” Kaspar Tamsalu, Art Director.
ZERO PARADES: Director’s Cut is available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2 for $39.99.
