Zero Caliber is now available on PlayStation VR2.

Originally released in early access in 2018, XREAL Games’ Zero Caliber is one of VR’s older FPS hits, and has since appeared on most major VR platforms. It comes with a campaign that supports single player and up to 4 player co-op, PvP game mode, and Zombies mode. Originally scheduled for release on December 12th, it arrived on PlayStation VR2 a little later.

We haven’t actually tried this new edition yet, so it’s unclear if it will include any PlayStation VR2-specific enhancements at launch. In a response on social media, the studio confirmed that support for adaptive triggers will be coming “with a day-one or week-one patch.” We have contacted the studio for details. We will update this article as soon as we know more.

This is the first time the Zero Caliber series has come to PlayStation, and you may remember that a port was planned for the original PlayStation VR. The studio later confirmed that it was based on the Quest edition of Reloaded, citing “hardware limitations” as the reason they couldn’t port the PC VR version. This ultimately never happened, and today’s release is based on the PC VR version.

As for what’s next, XREAL Games previously revealed that it plans to bring a sequel, Zero Caliber 2, to Sony headsets following the release of the PC VR remastered version in October. However, the specific release period is currently unknown. Elsewhere, the studio has released a new Zero Caliber 2 quality of life update for Quest with new weapons. A Steam update for Remastered is also arriving soon.

Zero Caliber has been released on PlayStation VR2 and PC VR, and Zero Caliber: Reloaded has been released on Quest and Pico.
