The network is developing a new drama series about the New York Yankees, Variety‘s Michael Schneider and Deadline’s Anthony D’Alessandro reported Friday.
The show is set to “take place across the team’s several eras,”

The project is being development by MLB Studios alongside Aggregate Films, a production company headed by Jason Bateman, and director, screenwriter and producer Josh Wakely.
Wakely, who D’Alessandro reported developed the concept, is also serving as a producer on an upcoming Prime Video series about the life of Muhammad Ali.
No details were reported as to when the new Yankees series is expected to be released on Netflix.
Netflix and MLB have previously worked together on projects including docuseries about the Boston Red Sox released in 2024 and 2025.
The MLB announced in December 2025 a three-year partnership with the streaming platform which included airing an Opening Night Game between the Yankees and San Francisco Giants in March.
The upcoming Field of Dreams Game between the Philadelphia Phillies and Minnesota Twins in Iowa is also set to air on Netflix next Thursday at 7 p.m. ET.
