An enhanced version of the Xenoblade Chronicles™ 2 game is now available for the Nintendo Switch™ 2 system! Now, you can lead Rex, Pyra, and the world to refuge with a smoother framerate and up to 4K resolution* in TV mode.

Great question! There are two ways that you can dive into this improved version of the game:
If you already have Xenoblade Chronicle 2
Not to worry—if you already have Xenoblade Chronicle 2 for the Nintendo Switch system, you can purchase the upgrade pack** separately to play the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition on your Nintendo Switch 2 system. This will give you access to those visual improvements we mentioned.
If you don’t have Xenoblade Chronicles 2
“Can I expect anything new in this version?”
You sure can!
In this version of the game, you’ll be able to discover a new Rare Blade, MOMO. Swap between her two forms to change her appearance and element affinity. She also has a quest for you to complete!
You’ll also be able to directly command Blades in the Merc Assault action battle mode. Choose up to six Blades to send out on Merc Missions where you move, fight, and swap freely between the Blades under your command. Combining Blade Specials will be key to victory!
And finally, customize Pyra and Mythra’s appearance with new outfit designs.
About the game
