On Wednesday, Microsoft introduced an adorably small Xbox accessory called the Xbox Nano Controller. The company’s smallest Xbox controller to date, it measures just over 5 inches long and weighs 3.5 ounces, making it much lighter than the 9.9-ounce standard Xbox Wireless Controller.
The Nano retains all 18 standard gameplay inputs and uses a familiar Xbox button layout. Most of its trimmed profile comes from shortening the standard controller’s handles to nubs and reducing its depth. It connects to the Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, Windows 10 and 11 PCs, Android devices, iOS devices, and compatible smart TVs and charges

The Nano and regular Wireless controllers seem to suit different needs, with the Nano ideal for travel, cloud gaming, or younger players. Meanwhile, the standard controller could be more comfortable for long gaming sessions and offers a headset jack and more battery options.
The standard Xbox Wireless Controller goes for $64.99 in the United States, though Microsoft Store listings often show promotional prices near $49. That’s the same price Xbox is offering the Nano for, with US preorders open now and shipments slated to start on November 4.
