Emails have started going out about Xbox Cloud Gaming’s changes, with existing subscribers in Australia being told that no changes will happen in their market.

A post from our own Nick Baker, stating his Game Pass Ultimate plan will see no changes in Australia in regards to Cloud Gaming

    Consumer Rights

Xbox has begun sending out emails regarding Xbox Cloud Gaming’s future, with users in Australia and Brasil sharing emails that state no changes are coming to their market:

No changes to your cloud gaming with XBOX Game Pass
Recently, you may have heard about changes to how cloud gaming is included with XBOX Game Pass subscriptions. At this time, these changes will only affect new purchases and will not affect your current subscription for the market in which you reside, as long as you are on an auto-recurring plan. Should you choose to cancel your plan and repurchase, you will receive a set number of cloud gaming hours each month, based on your plan. If for any reason there may be changes to your existing account, we will notify you at least 60 days in advance and you will have the option to cancel or change your subscription plan at any time.
Thank you for being part of the XBOX community.

Yesterday, Xbox put out a blog post indicating that Xbox Game Pass users would see strict limits on their cloud gaming.

    • Xbox Game Pass Essentials – 5 hours monthly
    • Xbox Game Pass Premium – 10 hours monthly
    • Xbox Game Pass Ultimate – 15 hours monthly.

It appears, at least for now, that in select markets those changes will not happen for existing customers. Have you gotten this email? If so, let us know in the comments below. I am in the United States and got an email explicitly stating the changes will come into effect here.
